The SL question....

Well, after the lovely comments and some disussions I had with my closest SL freinds I finally have the answer:

Sl is magic! The more time I spend here the better I understand the dynamics of this virtual world. Most people create Av´s that look hot, wear stunning clothes and that are mostly not compareable with their RL selves. It is a reflection of who they are, what they would like to be and how they want others to perceive them. Not at all wrong, since it is easier here than in RL. The computer screen and the virtual body creates a barrier of protection which makes one less vulnerable.

As two of my best friend have written as comments, It is what you type and how you behave that let´s people show behind that barrier! It doesn´t matter how mucled up you are, how big your virtual cock is, how big your knockers are or how stylish you dress in sl. You could walk around as the hottest Avi ever to roam Sl and still be either a complete self-centred, arrogant, idiotic prick of the worst kind! Or even worse: just plain stupid! Or you could be a normal Avi with a big heart, kind, funny, empathetic and intelligent enough to be able to talk with almost anyone about almost anything.

I have met my fair share of both kinds! I have often been disappointed, but I have also often been surprised! I am blessed to have met the people who I can gladly call my friends. This goes out to all of you! And you know who you are!

And to all those ignorant idiots out there: re-think your strategy and take some time to contemplate yourselves.

Sl might be virtual, but I think the borders between RL and SL are very indistinct!

SL down again...

So here I am, sitting with ma laptop, staring at the screen waiting for SL do go online again. Time to ponder the past days, weeks, months...

When I first logged onto SL I wasn´t sure what to expect. I thought SL was like a kind of game, a place where people from all over the world get together to meet, exchange info and have fun. Not at all a bad idea! At first I almost overheated my computer, because I was frantically using the search function and teleporting all over the show. I gave in all sorts of key words in search! I wanted to see it all!

After a short time I met some really nice people that I still call friends. People who were eager to help and whome it did not bother that I was walking around in the typical noob look. I will never forget you guys! Thanks a lot! ;-)

Well, as time went by I lost a lot of SL weight, got a lovely hairdoo, bought some stunning trousers and got a nice suntan. All of a sudden I was constantly having people running after me wanting to have sex. I mean, I love sex too, but wow! Unbearable sometimes! lol

So as time went by I met more and more people. Some where nice, and some not so nice. It seems that SL is really not that distant from RL! Some people are really nice and some are just plain idiots who take people for granted. The drama queens live on! I will not name any names, but I am still not quite over it.

What do you do after a bad experience that kinda blows you over? You shop! I bought everything! Skin, hair, clothes, body, house, furniture, penis (yea it comes in handy in SL too!) and a whole lot of shoes! ;-) To put it simple: I recreated myself! And it worked! Until I bumped into my long lost twin. Or twins? Fuck I don´t know, but it seems that my SL mom got around the block quite a few times, because around every corner I found another me. So off I went to the first "plastic surgeon" in sl and, you guessed it, had it all done!

DO I have a problem? Or is wanting to be an individual normal?

So off she goes, partying the night away... flaunting her newly aquired looks like never before!

HoooOooo!!!

Question 1: Is SL really only virtual?
Question 2: Is it as easy as logging off and walking away?

I will ponder these questions and try to find an answer. And I would love some comments regarding this until then.
